Study Design

Controlled intervention study with intervention and control groups. One-year study; these are 3-month interim results. Moderate-stage ADPKD patients.

Intervention

KetoCitra supplementation + Ren-Nu program (education on ketogenic nutrition and lifestyle changes) vs. control group receiving standard care.

Key Results

+

TKV Change: -5.01% vs +8.03%

Intervention group had a 5.01% kidney volume reduction compared to an 8.03% increase in the control group — statistically significant.

+

eGFR Change: +0.59 vs -1.57

Intervention: +0.59 mL/min/1.73 m2 (trend toward stabilization). Control: -1.57 mL/min/1.73 m2 (continued decline).

+

Adherence: 100%

Zero participants discontinued the intervention.

Significance

A 5% kidney volume reduction in just 90 days is unprecedented in ADPKD research. This controlled study confirms results are not due to natural variation, as the control group showed expected kidney growth. 100% adherence suggests the program is practical and sustainable for patients.
