Study Design

Prospective, interventional clinical trial. Up to 20 ADPKD enrollees. 3-month dietary intervention with assessments at baseline and post-intervention. NCT07454174.

Intervention

Ren-Nu structured ketogenic nutrition program + KetoCitra (medical food). Includes continuous glucose monitoring, individualized dietitian support, and digital monitoring tools.

Significance

This trial represents an important milestone: the first study of KetoCitra and the Ren-Nu program conducted at a major academic medical center independent of the product manufacturer. Led by Dr. Richard Fatica, Vice Chair of Nephrology at Cleveland Clinic, the trial will provide rigorous, independent evaluation of the approach in a controlled clinical setting. Results expected in 2027.
